About the Institute
Government Polytechnic for Women, Kakinada, is the first Women's Polytechnic established in Asia in the year 1961. Presently, the institute offers two Engineering Diploma courses, one Non-Engineering Diploma course, and Diploma in Pharmacy. Proposals have also been submitted for the introduction of a third Engineering course. The institute is spread over 23 acres in the central part of Kakinada.
